Colter Wall - Colter Wall - 05.12.17

For those who like folk-country. Check this guys' debut album out. He is from western Canada and his debut album was produced by David Cobb. Great sorry outlaw songs with a well worn voice.

This is much more traditionalist country than what I usually gravitate towards, but this album is good stuff. Killer story songs.

For an album that is really pretty sparse in the arrangements, it stays interesting due to how great the songs are. There's a lot of atmosphere here.

I went to his show last week. Sold Out show. It was just him and his guitar. The crowd was mainly 20-somes for the most part. These kids have no respect for these kind of shows because they talk when the musician is on stage. There's nothing worse than hearing a musician sing and hearing talking behind you.

Colter Wall is from Swift Current, Saskatchewan. He has been living in Nashville for a few years now. I talked with him briefly before his set and noticed a bit of an accent.

I feel the same way about Cory Branan and Robbie Fulks.

I still need to know what Cory and Robbie ever did to you.
