Daryl Hall - Sacred Songs

Postby Kizmiaz » Mon Mar 13, 2017 11:08 am

I just discovered this gem, recorded in 1977 with Robert Fripp and held back by the record company until 1980 as it wasn´t seen as being commercial enough. This song is one of many highlights

A live version with Minus The Bear

Yeah, this is a weird, cool album. I don't listen to it much but it makes me appreciate both Hall and Fripp. I think Fripp said Hall was the best vocalist he'd ever worked with.

Hall is an amazing singer, that´s for sure. In recent years I´ve learnt to appreciate his work more. He´s responsible for some really great music and is an all around amazing musician.

One can´t help but wonder where Hall might have gone as an artist had the record been released as scheduled.

This is super interesting Icelander. I will bookmark. I hate to admit but my first reference for Daryl Hall is Yacht Rock Episode 2 which might be the greatest episode.

I'm glad you like it Christian. I'm starting to think Hall is perhaps the most under rated artist of the popular realm.

I don't like writing like that anymore but I think we could have been friends in the mid to late 2005's. Daryl Hall is a hell of a thing.
