Yeah, this is really damn good. Best thing from Dulli in ages even if it's still more Twilight Singers than Whigs.

I like this, but it seems to have a lot more recycled bits and the songs tend to remind me of other stuff in his catalogue, like recycled melodies and stuff. I would need Chogs to back me up on this kinda thing though.

I'd agree that it kind of sounds "familiar" but it comes out of a lot of his stuff. It's part Whigs and part Twilight Singers as well.

It does sound familiar, but there is a lot of great stuff on here.

At some point, it's hard to be anything other than what you are. That's why I loved "Algiers" so much. It was such a killer and unique song compared to other things he's done.

The Whigs have essentially become Twilight Singers, I guess, since he's doing pretty much everything again.

The 3rd track, "Demon in Profile", sounds a lot like Twilight Singers song "40 Dollars". "Oriole" kinda reminds me of "Algiers"

I still contend that one of the more Afghan Whigs sounding things that Dulli's released since the break-up is a self-released solo album called Amber Headlights.
