This sounds like the last album x2. This one may be a little too '80s hair band for me, but I dig that intro.

He's actually becoming 80s Bryan Adams.

^I think he may have actually said 80s Bryan Adams was one of the influences on this.

Ryan won me over again after the last two albums. I'm back to listening on release day again. I'm looking forward to it.

^v worried about this
Listening to the album now. So far reminds me of a mix of Easy Tiger and the last album, but even more '80s production touches. He's definitely doing some Springsteen voice on a lot of these tracks.

Beginning to think the divorce wasn't his idea,
Did anyone see him freak out on a comedian on twitter the other day? He said he tried rescuing a runaway dog from a median on the 101 and ran after him for a mile. The comedian (Nick Thune) asked "Did you record that mile time?"
RA was not amused and went on a weird rant about how he'd felt like that dog (lost and scared) for the past year.

This is pretty vintage sad bastard RA. Some Love Is Hell feeling.

Really dig that song. This motherfucker is gonna pull me in with that one, and then the rest of this album is gonna suck so hard I'll feel like a fool all over again. Damn you to hell David Ryan Adams! Ain't no one make a fool of me this many times.

DRA is calling some bitch out on this one. No idea who it could be. I'm enjoying this a lot. I would actually revise this to say it's fairly close to Love Is Hell in theme and sound, but maybe even more sonically like the '80s albums he was trying to ape on LiH, but still in line with the last album and some of the better Pax Am releases he's been doing. Lyrically he's a little clunky in places with the metaphors but he's in full sad bastard "why did u leave me
" mode.
