Suggestions for Tributes

I'd recommend something requiring collaboration... so two people on ACT would have to get together and do a duet of some song of their choice. Fun, no??

That seems like a pretty good idea too....as long as everyone has the necessary software and means to do so. That might be a really neat thing to do.

Please... bitch is on her own. I'd want to do one with Nort if he'd have me... we've long been discussing a sure-to-be-awesome cover of Greg Brown's Ella Mae and this would put the fire under our asses to do it.

I don't have recording equipment, so I probably won't be submitting any of my ear bleeding awfulness, but I DO have a suggestion.

What if we did covers not by artist, but by, say, decades? We could start with the '50s or even earlier and everyone do a song from the '50s, any artist, any genre, and then on to the '60s, '70s, and so on. It would give a lot of freedom to choose and reinterprate, but still keep it within the confines of a certain decade.

If you wanted to get even more specific, you could say only #1s, or only top 10s, etc.

Just an idea.

That's quite an idea. Maybe we will get to hear Taney's version of Earth Angel.

And if you need to do some recording, call Seth Libbey up. I'm sure he'll "hook a brother up".

I've been on a huge Mark Olson rampage lately. All the Creekdippers albums are pure greatness! The guy is so underrated!

There's so many Mountain Goats songs, it's gonna be really hard to pick just one or two.... I don't even know where to start!!
