has no one considered the fact that this 'wife' in question might be at fault? Perhaps she is a strumpet, if you will. Eh, who am I kidding? Pizza, I think you might fit in better at the dragstrip. I have a bad feeling about this dirt track thing you got going.

It hasn't escaped my notice since joining this board that the guys on here that are married are all very happy to be married and seem to really cherish their spouses. Now all those guys have one thing in common. Really good music. Music that makes them feel and breathe and love. Thinking persons music if you will.

Now a lot of my friends that are interested in good music, like what we discuss on here, are decent human beings. They're not the type to brag about "plowing some married chick"

I've seen that kind of behavoiur going on alright but in the side of town that plays generic crap music.

So I'm throwing up a new debate. Does being into good music often make you a good person?

the first step is being able to admit it, shane :P

I always wondered about the whole good music=good person thing.

I actually wondered more about the good music=deep thinker thing.

That may be less of a generalization, I suppose. We are all a bunch loving people though, I've also noticed. I think we all value our lives very greatly, and are passionate about things as well. Thats why there's tiffs around here once and a while, because we're all so devoted to our thoughts and beliefs.

good topic! how about this, i think that it's a "symptom, not the disease" kind of thing.

i personally don't trust people who don't like garlic... weird i know, but ok: an allergy is one thing, but if you don't like garlic, to me that says that you don't eat adventurously, which means that you don't like sensual things, which means we won't get along.. good music taste is something that goes hand in hand, because you demand from your music, you insist that it mean something, that it engage you. but it doesn't have to be music, it can be food, or visual arts, or dancing, film... as long as you do it with passion.

so anyways, i'd say that being a good person often makes you like good music, but not always.... one of my good friends isn't much into music, but he takes great joy in the way that things are made... he's still a good person.
