Need some help from the board.

I am having breakfast at the Dallas chapter of the Harvard Club in the morning. What should I know? What should I talk about? What type of knot should I tie? Flat front or pleats? Center pleat or forward pleat? Is it too early for a nice tweed? Perhaps a lightweight version? I am considering a regimental short tie, with a waist coat.

I want to talk a little ball with the boys...who is looking good this fall for you guys. Any promising newcomers?

I always thought they were there to allow room for a fairly robust pouch or gunt.

Flat front may be a little too casual for this colloquy. Pleats are the way to go. Use caution forward pleats may appear too relaxed. I would try center cut.

They will judge you primarily by the quality of your fanny pack. I recommend a tasteful leopard skin.

Make sure you are armed with a blade should one of your cohorts be a mercenary. Also when you present the blade at the time of the duel inform all parties present it's not a kaiser blade, it's a sling blade.

Pleats are definitely out now - at least for guys 40 and younger. My fupa is uncomfortable with the trend. As El Santo says, there was a little room in there with pleats, now it's all on display. But with pleats, the assumption is gock - all the old farts walking around my work area look like they have diapers on. Perhaps they do.
