I'm putting mine together and sending out today. Finally came up with a good approach, and made the time to do this. Should get where it's going in time, or at least this week still!

Just checked the ol' mailbox, saw a padded envelope (and return addy of Tulsa) and knew mine had shown up - thanks Santa Charky!
A disc chock-full o' garage rock - 23 tracks, most tracks not over 3 minutes (as it should be, right?). This looks pretty cool - have only heard of a handful of these acts, which is great. Sounding sweet on first listen, definitely stuff Steve Van Zandt would play on the Underground Garage. Thanks again - and merry Christmas to you and yours too!

Re: The Officical Secret Santa "Thank You" Thread
Got a package today with a return address of Acuff Rose. So I was like "What could that be?" and remembering last year when I picked up a package from Nudie Suits which contained my xmas present from my wife I figured she had gotten equally imaginative this year so I just left it on the piano when I came home figuring it was from here. But still wondering why it was addressed to me!
After a couple of minutes I realized that Acuff Rose was my Secret Santa so I opened the thing. And what can I say but "Wow!" Two CDs a really cool xmas card with Santa Bob Dylan on it and a 2009 Calendar with music trivia for each day.
I´m started listening to the CDs when I cooked supper and they´ve been pleasing our ears, well not my stepson´s who is going through his Rap phase. That kid used to like Wilco and Neutral Milk Hotel. What happened?

Hope you like the Joan Jett song. It's from a '94 album called Pure and Simple. Stupid lyrics...but the riffing is great. I love Joan Jett....

Re: The Officical Secret Santa "Thank You" Thread
Thanks to Bo for his two disc spectacular!!
The Secret Santa disc was perfect present wrapping music, stopped me losing my mind, got the Country comp on now, lots of artists i don't know, but am liking their stuff.
I'll admit not having done mine yet, I have been and will continue to be busy til the 27th, on which day I plan a hangover, so perfect comp making conditions
Sorry to my victim for missing christmas (and probably new year) but I'm sure you'll like what makes it(eventual) way toy our hearing ears

Just received a very cool 2 CD set of covers...Mr. Adams...Cake...Elvis...The Sadies...Iggy...Iron & Wine a such. Plus a single data CD of all mp3s for easy transfer to iTunes (how thoughtful).
And thanks for the card.
All the way from the Great White North. Thank you Amy.

Thanks chark. That is some pretty gnarly riffage. Mine was a blast to put together too, the selection, sequencing, tweaking - even found myself listening to each playlist/disc a couple times while I was doing other stuff. I think that's when you know you were successful. Thus, given all that, mine went out this afternoon
