Do you get BBC, C4 and ITV over in Singapore, Howard? Cos this is the first list where I recognize all the programmes.
In Singapore we get three BBC cable channels: BBC Entertainment (similar to BBC America), BBC Lifestyle and BBC Knowledge which between them show loads of BBC content plus some from other broadcasters (although I am not sure how recent a lot of it is), and a channel called ITV Granada which shows programmes from ITV, C4 and one or two from the BBC (they show Miranda and The Street for instance) - mostly not new ones, taken from the last 10 years or so (but as I have not lived in the UK since 1991 they are mainly new to me). So we get Emmerdale and Coronation Street 5 nights a week, although the story is about 2 years old. A few more new to me, but probably quite old shows I have enjoyed over the last 5 years are:
Cold Feet (best ITV drama of the last 10 years?)
Life Begins (Caroline Quinten at her best)
Judge John Deed
Come Dine With Me
The Naked Chef (and other Jamie Oliver shows)
Kitchen Nightmares (UK edition)
Master Chef (UK editions)
Jonathan Creek
The Office (UK edition)
Extras
The Home Show
In Malaysia we also had loads of UK football from ESPN which was great and quite cheap, but in Singapore to get football on cable I need to sign-up for a different set-top box and more fees than I am prepared to pay - so I don't have my weekend fix of the Premier League at the moment.
