All of it? - I cant say that I trust the fireman that is carrying my half dead body down the staircase of a burning building but I think Dick Cheney wishes he were king?

I don't trust any government or big corporation. Especially when governments waste trillions on wars.

Re: do you trust your government?
I said no, but not in the "everything is a big conspiracy" way. I just think (and get ready, this is totally original and earth shattering) that most politicians are looking out for themselves, take as much as they can until they get caught (or not), and only show any concern for the electorate when they want something (i.e. votes, campaign contributions, etc).
I want to blame the electorate as well for being lazy, ill-informed, and siding with their ideology of choice - but look at the choices we are most often presented with. No real leaders, no one with the guts to make the hard decisions, no one who will do what is necessary to move the country forward. Most often we are voting for the lesser of two evils. Kinda hard to trust a government made up of those kind of folks.

Yes, but more often than not the reality is that one of the two major party candidates gets the win.Not_RMR wrote:you know you can vote for more than the "two options given" right. That is the illusion of choice
But lets not get sidetracked - hell no I don't trust the government

Re: do you trust your government?
Why do I sometimes get the feeling that RMR is just a governorship win away from being Jesse Ventura?

that's the reality because you (and most everyone) believe it to be so.Verbow wrote:Yes, but more often than not the reality is that one of the two major party candidates gets the win.Not_RMR wrote:you know you can vote for more than the "two options given" right. That is the illusion of choice

Corporations? Did I win? Do I get a cookie?Not_RMR wrote:who controls the politicians? ......
Actually, I think I see what you are trying to say - that if voters ignored all the white noise out there and actually voted on the issues, maybe more third party candidates would win? Yay or nay?
Maybe I need to stick to posting about Taco Bell and bands that no one cares about anymore.

and besides, I have no need for night vision goggles, and would require at least one shotgun
edit: Nevermind...the shotgun has a folding stock...kind of pointless
