It basically a well written piece on how fans of music should buy music to support the artists, etc.
Here were some Facebook responses:
Awesome article and while we're on the subject of paying for music. Any chance of that new Brent Best CD I sent in my $10 for two years ago coming out anytime soon? I will gladly pay for it again I just want some more/new Brent Best and/or Slobberbone music.....Please!!
Ten bucks to a good cause. Still waiting patiently and hoping for a tour Ohio way
sent $20 during hard times two summers ago ....still waiting on that personalized BB cd ....but not so patiently = /ironic
Slobberbone responded by posting The Dallas Observer Article Interview which has a little bit of information. However, one has to either snoop around on message boards or have a Facebook to track any of this down. Feel bad for the fans that donated without this information.
“What is it about a beautiful sunny afternoon, with the birds singing and the wind rustling through the leaves, that makes you want to get drunk?”
...and The Dallas Observer article basically just says Brent scrapped the original solo record mix because he did not like it. (can you say Axl Rose!?!?!?) I mean its a homemade solo cd...who gives a crap about majestic ambiance!?!?!?...its alt country....get an acoustic guitar and sing some tracks.
This thread has been hilarious...but all jokes aside...I can't believe they are treating the few fans they left so terribly. I would almost rather they break up completely, than be a part time local band with day jobs and kids, who plays free gigs like some crappy cover band. Fish or cut bait gentlemen!

If this CD ever actually arrives at my place, it's going straight into the trash without even one listen. Two years of blowing people off = FUCK YOU, LOSER!
No wonder this band never made it anywhere. They were being lead by a piece of trash.
