I really don't use it unless some one links to it via a blog or link or something. You can explore through categories in a browser and it has it all from music to podcast but I don't really use it. Had the app but I removed it.

Re: Soundcloud?
I came across a website recently that enabled one to download mp3s from soundcloud. Seems.....useful

Re: Soundcloud?
Is it just emerging artists that are on it?

Yup, there are more than one. Anontune is one that Pitchfork featured I believe. Offliberty is the one that I use. It also allows you to very easily download songs from Bandcamp and videos and mp3s from Youtube.Not_RMR wrote:I came across a website recently that enabled one to download mp3s from soundcloud. Re: using Soundcloud to discover artists, I'm on the same boat as Paulhead. I go there all the time when I see a link on a forum or blog or something, but I don't actively wander around it to discover new stuff. I guess I can say the same thing about Bandcamp. I love both sites. They essentially buried the MySpace music player, which is a piece of shit compared to either.

Re: Soundcloud?
I have a few soundcloud accounts for each of my projects. I don't usually "find" people on there, but I'll find them somewhere else, and then I'm able to follow their latest wheelings and dealings on Soundcloud. It's neat for that. It's like a facebook wall for all of your friends that also do music.
