Agree with other ^abovers that "Past Lives" is a gem of a song.

Agreed. I'm really enjoying this CD. It must be a Gamblers contender.

This is a wonderful sit back and take it in album... even more so than their last. I can really hear a Galaxy 500/Luna/Dean Wareham vibe in the song "How I Might Live". Nice!

Can't get enough of "Younger Than Yesterday", "Green Aisles", "Municipality", "Had To Hear", "Talking Backwards", "Crime" are KILLING me. These guys fall somewhere between early IRS REM, Teenaga Faclub, Dream Syncicate, Galaxie 500, Yo La Tengo. Singer has a great voice. Very REM-y lyrics. "Green Aisles" the one that is on endless repeat tonight.

Abover, it does sustain a chilled, melancholy vibe throughout. Like lookng out the window at the beach on a grey rainy day. Of course, I'm all about the melancholy. Plus great melodies and vox. Best band to come down the pike for a while. Their last 2 albums are their best. Seem to keep getting better and better.

I don't know what but hear some similarities with Belle&Sebastian which is not a bad thing. Ye see Belle&Sebastian made most of their albums in that constant acoustic tone to bore ye in the end hopefully these guys won't do the same.

Recommended this album to a very good friend who quickly reported back to me that he loved the album and that yes it sounded fairly similar to Belle & Sebastian.

I'll download this album on Spotify and give it a few runs and see to what it does to me, VARNALINE's 1997 album with the song Velocity in it that's by far a really strong album, and yet that SKM's Benji intrigued me so I stick to all of this.
