I don't mind the Zep. They're really popular I hear.

maybe the key to writing great songs is all about gnomes and black magic.
I'll have to give that a try.

U2 (i always bang on about U" so will leave it at that)
Pearl Jam
Son Volt
Drive By Truckers (to a certain extent. Really like some stuff but mostly leaves me cold.)
The jayhawks (not heard much but what i have was pretty dull and uninspiring. I think insipid is the word I am looking for)

I think Willie's alright.
I don't own anything that he's done....but I'd say I've had a whole lot of experience with him over the years.
My parents actually used to be pretty big into his stuff pre-1980.
for their wedding....they just had the album "stardust" playing quietly in the background.

Willie's put out some crap, but 'The Red-Headed Stranger' is a brilliant album - the bonus tracks on the reissue are great as well.

Lloyd, my fine Northern brother,,,the Dead never made a country album. They made albums where they revealed themselves to be a 5th rate rock band TRYING to sound country...but they never made a country album...

Johnny Cash...he made country albums...

The Dead made navel-gazing music for brain dead houseplants, most of whom now live in Colorado (Howdy, Sun! :D )
