I think Willie's alright.
I don't own anything that he's done....but I'd say I've had a whole lot of experience with him over the years.
My parents actually used to be pretty big into his stuff pre-1980.
for their wedding....they just had the album "stardust" playing quietly in the background.

Willie's put out some crap, but 'The Red-Headed Stranger' is a brilliant album - the bonus tracks on the reissue are great as well.

Lloyd, my fine Northern brother,,,the Dead never made a country album. They made albums where they revealed themselves to be a 5th rate rock band TRYING to sound country...but they never made a country album...Lloyd wrote:Ray: Not the Dead?? not even the country albums???
Johnny Cash...he made country albums...
The Dead made navel-gazing music for brain dead houseplants, most of whom now live in Colorado (Howdy, Sun!
 )
 )"...he's an interesting bunch of guys..."
