Re: Annoying Facebook Trends of the Now
Pet peeve: people who preemptively write "you're welcome" when they've posted something they think you're gonna love. 99.9% of the time I would not have said "thank you" thus no "you're welcome" would be required.

Re: Annoying Facebook Trends of the Now
I love you all like family, but there is nothing wrong with praying. Even on Facebook. Would you rather have people praying for each other, or posting short-sighted nonsensical political bullcrap that means absolutely nothing in a tiny blurb? OK. Christian monkey out.

Re: Annoying Facebook Trends of the Now
Oh, I'm not faulting people for praying -- and I'll take all the prayers anyone wants to send my way. It's more of the vague requests and the one line "praying!" replies that bug me.
I'm sure people mean well, but it just seems weird to broadcast it over FB. I'm just here for the food pics and funny kid quotes, mmmkay?

Re: Annoying Facebook Trends of the Now
To add to the above, in the rare moments that I show concern or compassion, I do so in private. I'd feel insincere or like I was showing off otherwise. Maybe that's just me, but I'm not good with the feels.*

Re: Annoying Facebook Trends of the Now
^Gotcha. I don't take the whole "praying" thing on Facebook to be all the sincere, though I have told people I'll pray for them then actually do so. I just think it's kind of an online community support system for some folks. I'm not one to post something like, "Please pray for my daughter...her BFF didn't invite her to a sleepover!", but I think when people do post things that are relatively serious or difficult that they are just looking for some folks to say, "It's OK...we hear ya...we'll pray/send thoughts/whatever."
I guess I don't find it all that annoying.
Way more Facebook Trends of the Now that irk me. Particularly political crap.
Anywho, no harm, no foul, Toddygirl. I'll pray for ya!
