There's a curry joint that I just discovered in town and damn that's some good eatin'. This place is right near the dumpling place and holy shit both places only do their one thing but do them so well. There is a large slice pizza joint in town like this too. This is a trend I like.

Couldn't gagree more - so many places fall down because they try to be all things to all people, when they should recognize the one thing they make well and focus on knocking it out of the park. I'm thinking of small taco joints, BBQ places, and chicken and waffles.

Gagree with abovers. This is why I love food trucks.
It's a good principle for restaurants in general. If a restaurant has so many options that you have to ask what's good there, then the answer is probably, "Not much."

^ Are you trying to say Applebees isn't good food? Man, what a snob.
I also like the smaller menu, more focused approach to restaurants. No one needs the cookie cutter approach to food.
