I wanna pound it with the guy that wrote that. Dropping some truth bombs for us all.

What is this Humans of New York? Is it a rip-off of the brilliant Lizard People of New York?

It's this super earnest Facebook page this guy runs where he takes pictures of people around NYC (and elsewhere, now, from what I gather) and he includes a little caption of the person talking about themselves. It's not the worst thing in the world, but it's anathema to a cynic like me. I have no idea why this guy's open letter is worthy of having on TV, or even internet TV, but go nuts, I guess.

Sorry. I was being sarcastic. If you are on Facebook you cannot escape Humans of New York. They should make a movie Escape From Humans Of New York.

Katie Couric had a nice run of pretending to be a journalist on TV. Now she's on Yahoo. Probably next stop Gawker.

Dude's got like at least 2 books out now. The best ones are the ones with people not trying to be profound. But I think lately that's not the case as he is going to places like prisons, syrian refugee centers and children's cancer hospitals. But when it's just a normal new yorker who's like "fuck, I just wanted some coffee and to look at these jogger's asses"
no more water but the fire next time

Yeah, it started out a little more "here's a normal dude/woman/couple just making it through life" and now it's got to be profound and the guy wants to affect change and shit. Shark = jumped.

Rowsdower, I was so jealous thinking you'd never run across it.

My wife likes Humans of New York quite frequently. It is good that one of us can be earnest online. Yes, the concept is great, if only it did not feel so edited. I need more coffee thoughts and jogger butts.

Don't we all. But never together. Not that I know from experience, but I hear they are a bad combo.

Lesbians of Denver seems like something Macho could start up fairly easily
