May I also remind people that he is a PRODUCER OF RECORDS! (just not his own apparently)

Not the reason there is a problem.

Actually, the point here is that there is no excuse. The "problem" is of no consequence at this point.

But these are my fans and I cannot have an adversarial relationship with the fans. Perhaps I need to treat it more like work and just get it done.
oh my.
Actually just saw this post from Nacho in April of 2012. The hard drive crash happened in April of last year. What's the deal? Starting to think maybe Brent is ripping people off :?
Not only is it dirt cheap to make home recordings, but it's inexcusable to lose any more than one day of work to a hard drive crash. The first rule of recording is to back that shit up.

Maybe Brent took the flu vaccine and now he's brainwashed by the government into not making CDs anymore

Never said the flu vaccine brainwashes you. I'm not Gene Autry Fan.

I agree there is no excuse for the delay in this cd. Just said that wasn't the reason.

Then what is the reason exactly? Does Brent have a evil Yoko Ono that is ruining his artistic mojo?

Taney who told you to stop defending Brent in this thread? Was it Brent himself? Since you talk to him all the time and you've talked to him about the album on numerous occasions he must be aware of it.

I personally don't have any knowledge of Brent being aware of this thread or this board. I've talked to him just in general about what a problem this really is for him. He has thanked me and told me not to worry about him that he is well aware he had made a mess that he is a big boy and will take the hits until he can make it right.

But someone told you to stop defending him on this board. Who did that?

Brent told me to stop defending him. Has nothing to do with this. Thanked me and told me not to worry about him.

What does he care. He only got 200 bucks. He doesn't care about 20 fans.

I just hope we all get what we want - Complicated Back Story, the Brent Best solo concept album about the difficulties of being a fat, hairy, lazy asshole and still trying to keep in touch with your fans in the 21rst century.

It would seem he doesn't care. He told me is hit with emails and Facebook messages all day. I've asked him over and over to clear this up with a message.

I especially don't get this part. Most people would be ok with it if Brent at least wrote a simple message on email or Facebook. It would literally take him 1 minute.
