...small world stuff...

Post by yankeegirl »

...i spent 4 weeks at home in seattle this summer...went out one night to the tractor tavern to see a band called The Believers...they are friends of friends...my mate thought i'd like their stuff...and she was right....they were reminiscent of buddy and julie miller (apparently, he is a fan) and i liked lots...after the gig, as we were all gabbing, it came out that i was visiting from cardiff..."we are playing in cardiff in october!" said craig...i asked was it at Chapter Arts?...and he said he thought it was...i said "my guy's band has been promised a support there this autumn...wouldn't that be weird?"...we exchanged emails, etc...i said drop me a line when they were in town and i'd see 'em on oct 9th...

...well, helll!!!...small world indeed...my honey's band is the support...and craig and cynthia are staying here at my place sat night (the venue will put them up on the gig night, but they are travelling down from scotland on sat)...i'm gonna feed them a traditional welsh meal (curry from the awesome takeaway down the road!) and take them to see some traditional welsh music (salsa jazz band!) on sat night...then hosting a house full on sunday for brunch...should be a laugh...just call me anita (...hmmm...better find my brownie recipe and dig out the plaster of paris... ...)

...check them out :P ...

Indeed a small world Trish .... next time you talk to them .... ask them if they know where Canada is. Hehe.
