just 3 is incredibly hard. Which artists brought you into "americana" in the first place? Most of us around here came up during "alt country" hey day back when we hated that word worse than we now hate the word "americana".

Well regardless, here are 3

Chris Knight - Pretty Good Guy (2003)
Todd Snider - The Devil You Know (2006)
Lydia Loveless - Somewhere Else (2014)

no more water but the fire next time

➑ Blackfoot - Southern Native.
The Rossington Band - Take It On Faith.
Rich Hopkins & The Luminarios - Tombstone.

All them might be on the rocky side but there's still elements of americana so check them out!

I think as time progresses there won't be much americana stuff coming through as the music industry is demanding more accessible and commercial releases!
I hope am wrong have got a certain stinging feeling about it.
