Life Aquatic and Darjeeling could switch places on my list but I think everything else is pretty solid.

What's with the Fantastic Mr. Fox hate? That's right up there with Rushmore, Tenenbaums, and Bottle Rocket for me. If you took out my sentimental attachment to Bottle Rocket and Rushmore it might even be my favorite one.

Saw it once and found it highly entertaining but saw it again and found it to be kind of a slog. It's definitely a great achievement and I'd like to see him do that sort of thing again but for me it's a minor work.

That's fair, I only watched that one once, I'd need to give it another shot.

Stick to your guns Bob, Mr. Fox is almost the perfect Wes Anderson film. I think it gets short shrift here because maybe folks don't want to rate an animated feature so highly, but it's hard to make a film with such wide appeal. I've seen it more than once, and I feel it holds up.

I like all his films, for me, Darjeeling Lmtd.the least.

Good call on "The Beguiled" Phil. Certainly an underrated Eastwood gem.

That was my feeling as well, but like I said, only seen it once. My feelings on Life Aquatic and Tenenbaums changed substantially on the second viewing (both for the better FWIW) so I should probably watch it again.

I love it, but not my fave. I really loved Darjeeling Ltd but seems like most Anderson fans don't care for it much. Some days it's my #1. And, don't shoot me, but I have yet to see Mr. Fox. It's streaming on the netflix, so I will spy it to make my list legit.

I fucking LOVED this. Harrelson has become quite the character actor these days. He tears up the screen in this. Beautifully shot, directed by the same guy who did "The Messenger" (also starring Harrelson).

Good stuff Mike, "The Beguiled" definitely deserves a wider audience. Onto the Three Dollars Trilogy now, which, shamefully, I haven't seen.

Slightly surprised that me and SJ6 are the only big fans of The Darjeeling Ltd, I think its a really well made road movie (or rail movie in this case) ..the short film Hotel Chevalier before it really adds to Schwartzman's character's back story, the Kinks music is great, India is shot beautifully etc etc! Only the ending with Angelica Houston is a bit disappointing.

Ugh...I hated Darjeeling. I thought he really redeemed himself with Mr. Fox. Still need to see the new one.

Shane, I agree about Rampart. Really badass performance by Woody. Pretty sure he's in every scene of the movie.

Thumbs up to Woody H., who's turned in dozens of killer performances recently. He's got some serious range.
