Post of the year Jess.

Willie Nelson - meh
Snoop Dogg nah
Tom Hanks - fuck him

Helen Mirren . . . well I like her.

Morgan Freeman is an ok suggestion. I'd offer Christopher Walken, but Mookie hates him.

My first thought was Morgan Freeman - I bet his stag party would be classy, too. Uplifting voiceovers instead of strippers and jaegerbombs.

George Foreman is pretty likeable too (much less divisive than Muhammad Ali, thats for sure). Maybe sports stars are too easy. Jack Nicklaus and Tom Watson are also national treasures.

Is the actor who played Uncle Gus in 80s TV series Our House still alive? Hmm the fact I dont know his name probably excludes him.

Wasn't everyone a little put off by Morgan Freeman banging his step granddaughter or whatever it was?

I didn't know anyone remembered this show but me. Wilford Brimley! I think he was universally loved in the '80s for sure, but then, so was Tom Cruise. He's all but disappeared save for the occasional DIABETTUS meme, referencing the diabetes medication ads he did for years.

I remembered and loved Our House. Shannon Doherty was on that show!

Anyway, Wilford Brimley isn't famous enough. He was great in The Firm, though.

Yeah that's why I didn't include him.

Willie Nelson is a really good one. Helen Mirren is not famous enough and has said some pretty iffy things that would be a thing if she were more famous. Snoop Dogg is well liked but also sort of irrelevant now, it's like how no one really gets mad at Mitt Romney anymore because nobody cares. That same principle applies to Willie Nelson but everyone has generally agreed that Willie seems pretty cool since at least the 80s. Similarly, Dolly Parton belongs in that category as well.

Tom Hanks, I think DADDY nailed that one. I don't have a good reason to hate him, but fuck that Larry Crowne-ass motherfucker.

Regardless as to whether or not he's the most likeable personality EVER, George Foreman is an important figure when it comes to talking about turning your life around. George was a nasty individual early on. He admits that he was a very angry individual and did plenty of terrible things. It took a near death experience after a fight to turn him around. You could also use him as an example of redemption through religion but I think it's irrelevant in that it can be viewed even more simply than that.

Also, I'm not even getting into how the man single-handedly revolutionized the grill industry.

Yes, the answer is Dolly. Impossible to hate. Any criticisms you throw at her, she's already made about herself. She's perfect for hipsters cause she's kitschy but also legitimately great. And she was Taylor Swift before Taylor Swift was Taylor Swift.

I don't know why I thought of this, but Ethan Hawke is really underrated. He's had a great, quiet run over the past decade or so.

I can't tell if it's because of fucking Pinterest, or posturing to keep up with all the fucking elaborate ideas you see on Facebook, but this shit needs to stop. For real. Bridezilla shit is not cute. Your wedding is not going to go perfectly. Just fucking relax. The chair covers might not be the right shade of mint green or whatever. Who gives a fuck. If you've got beef, then just chill until you and your husband get a divorce, and then you can do the fun 2nd wedding on the beach or whatever, where everyone has already realized that it's not that big a deal.
I have to be present and "excited" about this over and over again. Wow, what original ideas here! How fun!

In addition to entire wedding designs stolen right off Pinterest, I literally have brides/bridesmaids pulling up Pinterest to show me the various shots they want to copy. Can't you just enjoy yourselves as you are and let me make the photos I make? Shoulda hired that photographer, if that's what you wanted. #disengagedasfuck #happilyevershootme

Wrong and wrong. Brimley was about as well known then as he is now. Even though he appeared in a few shows and the well liked movie (The Thing) Bob said really famous. Tom Cruise was universally loved???? Famous? yes. What would be the latest comparison? I don't know, Ryan Goseling? (not really) I wouldn't think he is universally liked. I really disliked Tom Cruise in the eighties and I was not alone.

I think some people just work up these big expectations for everything beforehand and I think that's not always a great way to approach anything. It's like trying to make a kids birthday party this big grand thing. Like have all this shit planned, and have a theme, tons of activities, etc. My wife gets frazzled trying to make sure the kids have things to do at my daughter's birthday and it's like, just let them do what they're gonna do. You could have 10 different art activities for them to do, but they'd much rather just chase each other and play with balloons. Let it happen however it happens.

I'm kinda weird about the photo thing too. For some reason, it really irritates me when kids are doing something, and the parent wants to take a picture of them enjoying the beach and they're like "OK, stop everything you're doing and look at the camera! Everybody look! Everybody has to smile at the same time or I'm gonna just keep yelling until you do! NO. STOP PLAYING IN THE SAND. LOOK AT ME AND FUCKING SHOW A TOOTHY SMILE YOU LITTLE SHITS". If you want a picture of them enjoying themselves at the beach, then do just that. Be like a documentary director and don't interfere with your subjects. Just take the fucking picture. If you make them look at you they're only gonna do that fake toddler smile anyway.
