Time Easton - fIREHORSE

If you think 2025 was a great year for music, 2026 is off to a galloping start with the release of Tim Easton’s fourteenth album ‘fIREHORSE’.

The opening track “River” has that gritty Ray Wylie Hubbard vibe. The album as a whole is up there with my favourite Tim Easton album, 2003’s ‘Break Your Mother’s Heart’.

Nashville based multi-instrumentalist, producer, and songwriter Kevin Nolan who also plays on the album, produced ‘fIREHORSE’, and the brilliant Brad Jones did the mixing.

The recording sessions included members of Lainey Wilson‘s band, specifically Kevin Nolan, Matt Nolan (drums), and Tommy Scifres (bass).

The album cover art is a painting from Tim’s big sister, visual artist Susan Easton Burns. The FIREHORSE painting hangs over Tim’s living room couch in Nashville.

2026 is the year of the Fire Horse, and for many, they don’t have to wait until February 17 or February 20.
